CNS (Central Nervous System): Brain + spinal cord. It acts as the main control and processing centre.

PNS (Peripheral Nervous System): All nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. It carries information to and from the CNS.

Easy analogy: CNS = main office, PNS = communication network connecting the office to the rest of the body.
